What we do
What do we do? Birth and Baby Reality offer realistic education to all expectant parents in Warwickshire in several different formats. We also offer post natal support and breast feeding support in terms of weekly coffee morningsat Leek Wootton Village Hall. Some coffee mornings are also visited by guest speakers discussing post natal topics – chosen by our mums! We work closely with local community and hospital midwives to ensure we are delivering up to date and research based information.
FREE Early Pregnancy Class
Our unique feature is that we offer a free early pregnancy class to all expectant parents within Coventry and Warwickshire; this introduces parents to our services and offers ongoing information and support. We work alongside Warwickshire Community Midwives, building on information you will have already given during the booking visit. We would love you to join us from 10 to 30 weeks gestation as advised by Midwives, in order that we can offer a review of the information you may already have, as well as discussing concerns that arise during pregnancy.
Our Early Pregnancy classes are facilitated montly at the following venues, Emscote House School and Nursery, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth Community Centre, Abbey End, Kenilworth, Rother House Medical Centre in Stratford and The Westwood Club and Reading Rooms.Westwood Heath Road, Coventry.
Classes are held in the evenings and at weekends, we also encourage you to bring your partner or friend.

Full Antenatal Course
Covering all aspects of late pregnancy, labour and the immediate post natal period. Designed to support local maternity practices and help prepare parents for any birth outcome. The courses are held over evenings and weekends to encourage partners to attend. We find this encourages longer lasting friendships and peer support networks. Antenatal classes are held at Emscote House School and Nursery - Leamington Spa, Kenilworth Community Centre - Kenilworth, Trinity Court Surgery - Stratford Upon Avon, The Westwood Club and Reading Rooms - Coventry.

Review courses
Aimed at women and / or couples who already have a child. An opportunity to think about past experiences, reflect and prepare you for the forth coming baby. Each course is unique and designed around the groups or individuals needs. The course is limited to 8 couples. We believe this helps build relationships by meeting like minded people going through the same experience. The review course covers all aspects of preparation for birth and life with a new baby and sibling. This is an excellent opportunity for mums to focus on their next child, and consider the impact upon their present family. This session is also offered as a 1:1 in your own home. Coffee mornings
All coffee mornings are hosted by the antenatal teachers, postnatal doula and breast feeding counsellor and peer supporters, offering you a familiar face to talk to. Held weekly, every Wednesday morning from 10.00 until 12.00 at Leek Wootton Village Hall. Some sessions also include a guest speaker, facilitating a ‘mini session’ on related post natal topics, such as baby massage, monkey music, weaning, Rhythm Time. Baby First Aid Course
Birth and Baby Reality have partnered with Wideawake training to provide a Baby First aid course. This hands-on first aid course is designed to provide you with constructive advice and instruction as to what to do in a range of medical emergencies and childhood illnesses.
